A lovely winter wedding filled with love and happiness celebrated a special day at a wedding destination in Madrid.
I first met the bride and groom through a video call when we discussed their vision for wedding photography. Blandine, the bride, is a friend of a good friend of mine. I met my friend in my early 20s while living in Barcelona, and I had always heard about Blandine through her stories. When she asked me to photograph her wedding, I was thrilled.
A couple of months after our video call, I arrived in Madrid on a Thursday night and was excited to join Blandine, Nadir, and their friends for drinks. This was just the beginning of a wonderful reception and celebration of their love.
“Omgg!! We are in the desert 🐪 and just come back to urban life and best gift ever! Thank you so much!
— Blandine
Those are amazing!! You are the best, thank you so so much again.”
Blandine and Nadir met at work in the city they now call home, Madrid. Blandine is French, and Nadir is from Morocco. In the spring of 2025, they will celebrate another significant occasion with a big wedding gathering for friends and family in Morocco.
The civil wedding took place one morning in November at the town hall in Arganzuela. The bride and groom, along with their friends, gathered a few minutes before the ceremony began, sharing hugs and joy.
Having been a wedding photographer for many years, I still find myself in awe and happy for each new couple, their unique stories, and the new places I have the opportunity to visit. I create memories that will accompany their families for years to come.
We ended the day with smiles on our faces, taking photos in the neighbourhood where the bride and groom live, all while enjoying a beautiful sunset.
