Birthday Photography | Bea’s 3rd Anniversary

I always get really excited when a client reaches out to me to capture another moment in their kids’ lives. Now that I become a mom, I understand how special these photos are, and I feel honoured to be a part of it.
Bea’s third birthday was such a blast!
The kids had the freedom to play, and there were PJ Masks everywhere, a soft play set, balloons, and the sweetest sound for all the parents: their kids having fun and enjoying themselves.

As a wedding and family photographer, I’m frequently asked which type of photography I prefer. Some people assume that capturing birthday parties or family photos is easier. However, I truly believe in the power of documentary photography. It’s about being open to emotions, paying attention to details, and authentically recording the moments that unfold naturally. I immerse myself in this mindset every time I set out to photograph an event.

Birthday parties are just as significant as wedding days. After all, children grow up quickly, and the games and moments evolve. I feel a deep sense of joy whenever I receive messages from parents expressing how much they loved the birthday photos and the beautiful moments captured. To hear that inspires me and fuels my creativity everytime.

It was a very pleasant reception for the parents to relax and enjoy themselves while I captured another year of Bea’s life. I’m so glad I can create these memories for such a lovely family!

L&E Wedding Photography | Stoke Newington

How can I describe this beautiful spring wedding day?

For me, it’s far easier to express feelings through photographs, as some sensations are difficult to translate into words. I often feel that I’ve left something behind when recounting a wedding solely in writing.

Lara and Esme are two wonderful individuals who have the ability to fill a room with their love. Their wedding day was beautiful and powerful. The love in the air was so strong that it inspired everyone around.

Their wedding was in the afternoon at Stoke Newington Town Hall, just a few minutes walk from their home. It was a short walk but a meaningful one since Lara’s family came from Brazil.

The ceremony was lovely, filled with laughter and tears from everyone in the room. The reception took place at a local Mediterranean restaurant called “Tranga.” It was a sunny day, and surrounded by loved ones, we enjoyed bubbles, fantastic food, and a beautiful speech from Esme’s father. His words felt like something from a film, perfectly illustrating how life often imitates art.

I feel honoured to be a wedding photographer and part of such an important and meaningful day. Capturing Lara and Esme’s wedding was truly a privilege. Love is what it’s all about!

Birthday Photography | 1st year of life

Mauricio’s 1st birthday was a happy, intimate and pleasant day. He had a first celebration at home, in London, and then in Brazil with the other half of the family.
So happy to be responsible for capturing this moment and eternalising meaningful memories for all the family.

Happy birthday baby Mauricio!

Birthday Photography | 1st year of life

After a lovely nap, Izzy was ready for her party! 🙂
On a winter day in February, friends and family gathered at the family’s traditional pub to celebrate Izzy’s first birthday. It is always a privilege to be part of such a special moment and to capture it in photographs. I am so grateful to work as a family and wedding photographer, and I truly appreciate my clients’ trust.

Photographs are lasting memories that can be cherished, and I hope that in a few years, Izzy can look at these pictures and relive this day filled with laughter, shared memories, and lots of love.

Birthday Photography | 1st year of life

I’ve always heard parents say that time flies when you have a little one (and it’s so accurate). Every time I get an inquiry for a kid’s birthday party, especially for a first birthday, I feel so honoured to be part of that special day. It’s my joy to capture those moments that will become cherished family memories.

This time, the party was supposed to be in the park on a lovely spring day, but London weather had other plans! Instead, Noah’s first birthday turned into a cosy home celebration, perfect for this family moment.

The whole family was there, with Noah’s paternal grandparents making the trip all the way from Canada. It made the day extra special, and it was such a memorable time for everyone.

“Thank you so much, Amanda. These are amazing! You have been truly fantastic throughout the process, and we really appreciate the beautiful photos you have taken. ”

— Catherine (Noah’s Mom)

I wish lots of love for this family! Always a pleasure to capture these moments.

Take a walk | London Photo shoot

Living in London for a year now, Dre Ferraz walks around the iconic London. It’s such a gorgeous city and a dream for many people, but when a city is your home base, sometimes, we get comfortable with the view and don’t actually see it.

London is beautiful, exciting, and always busy – some days are awful. It’s a remarkable city, for sure. It’s an inspiration for fashion, music, theatre, and life. It’s a city built with so many cultures and numerous people that it’s pretty comprehensive the intense feeling.

People have stories, unique ones. So to celebrate this year of London, we took a walk and enjoyed an unexpectedly sunny day on a random Thursday.

Through tourist places like London Eye to Carnaby, Soho, portraits and laughs around the city. And, of course, a cup of coffee. It’s so lovely to walk in the town.

Welcome and enjoy!
